Zelazny Wins 40 Under 40 Award

Each year, BD+C magazine’s 40 Under 40 Class features rising stars in the architecture, engineering and construction industries.

Tim Zelazny of ESD was selected for BD+C magazine’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2020. Zelazny’s passion is to create buildings that have a positive influence on their environment. His goals are to create buildings that are 1) net-zero carbon to help us meet the Paris Climate Agreement and 2) healthy to improve the wellness of its occupants.

Off the clock, to reduce personal carbon footprint, Zelazny travels mainly by bike and, as of mid-2020, had logged 2,150 miles. To break up the monotony of the pandemic, he tries to visit a historical site in Chicago each weekend.

Reach out to Tim for answers to any questions you have regarding sustainability and health and wellness certifications.
