ESD Wins Innovation Awards

ESD honored for its work deploying a state-of-the-art indoor air quality program and for building a 3,000-bed Alternate Care Site in response to the pandemic.

The Chicago Chapter of CoreNet Global has named ESD the winner of its 2020 Innovation Award for Property Management. The honor recognizes the work we completed, in partnership with Riverside Investment and Development and cohesion, to create a healthier, safer space that also promotes confidence, trust, and transparency to tenants during these unprecedented times. In a video interview, Raj Gupta explains how work done at the 150 North Riverside building in Chicago improves indoor air quality and provides real-time monitoring of conditions.

The winners are selected by corporate real estate end-user judges from the world’s top corporations. In announcing the award, CoreNet notes how “The program holistically combines secondary air purification, the most advanced commercial filtration system on the market, ventilation rates that significantly exceed national standards, and 24/7/365 indoor air quality and pollutant measurement and verification.” This past summer, 150 North Riverside became the first building to host this state-of-the-art indoor air quality (IAQ) program.

In addition to the 2020 Innovation Award for Property Management, ESD was recognized for our work with Stantec and team with the 2020 Innovation Award in Healthcare. The team built a 3,000-bed Alternate Care Site at McCormick Place convention center in one month.

We are honored for the recognition and congratulate all of the REAL Award winners.
