It’s always smart to engage students – who could be future employees – outside of the office.
For five years, Mayank Sharma has served as a guest speaker at Julide Demirdoven’s “Introduction to BIM” classes in the Construction Engineering and Management Program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. They hold a “Worksharing Workshop” together in a lab environment, where they introduce more than 50 students to ESD and Collaboration with Revit every year.
Graduate and undergraduate students from many disciplines take the class, including MEP, Structural, Architectural and Architectural Engineering. Not only does Mayank receive thank-you letters from participants, Julide – a long-time expert in BIM — receives internship applications for positions at ESD.
