Gupta Earns Alumni Award from Washington University

It’s gratifying to be honored by your former school.

ESD Executive Chairman Raj Gupta received the Alumni Achievement Award from the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University this month. He was praised in a video tribute created by the school, where a number of  leaders in the built environment shared their thoughts about Gupta’s reasons for success.

“What WashU forced me to do was work on my imagination,” Gupta said. “I was really trained to solve problems that had never been identified before.”

The 1984 graduate earned a dual degree – a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Washington University and a bachelor’s in management engineering from Claremont McKenna College that same year. Gupta and ESD have been proud to hire more than 25 Washington University graduates over the years.
