On August 6th, ESD sponsored and participated in the SIM (Society for Information Management) Golf Charity Event for the fourth consecutive year. The event, held at the White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville consisted of 168 golfers, 27 picturesque holes, as well as trophies, prizes, food, and drinks. All proceeds were donated to i.c. stars, a Chicago based non-profit which encourages project based learning and full immersion teaching for students with their GED. This organization is important in providing future leaders with the opportunity to develop their business and technology skills. The turnout was outstanding and drew over 160 of Chicago’s top IT executives to the premier golf course.
ESD sponsored the fourth hole of the course, hosting a raffle for the golfers, the prize being a round of golf for the winner and two guests hosted by ESD’s Executive Vice President, Mike Kuppinger, at Naperville Country Club. The winner of the raffle was Todd Hover, Associate Director of Applications Engineering at DePaul University.
