Schlattman Details UL 3223 Components

It’s long been hard to find certification offerings that address all critical elements of the data center into a single, cohesive certificate. That changed this spring once UL – working in conjunction with ESD Consulting – launched its new data center standard, UL 3223.

Paul Schlattman explained the five main components of UL 3223 in “Certifying Data Centers” for CSE magazine. Schlattman outlines the importance of security, reliability, concurrently maintainable design, sustainability design and commissioning in detail, while pointing out that there are about 7 billion technology users who touch the cloud or co-location centers daily.
