How Can High Rises Reduce Energy Consumption? Jalayerian to Share Ideas
ESD managing director to present “Optimizing Energy Performance of Tall Buildings.”
With energy codes always evolving, it’s important for building owners and operators to understand the best ways to reduce energy consumption in the built environment.
ESD Managing Director Mehdi Jalayerian will present “Optimizing Energy Performance of Tall Buildings” during the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings (CCHRB) monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12. He will explain how the art of designing a beautiful façade that balances loss/ gain, daylight and solar radiation requires an optimized integrated solution. Case studies he will share will dive into the details of energy analytics, including building massing and orientation; envelope performance; solar heat gain reduction; daylighting enhancement and building thermal mass.
Jalayerian is in demand for his vast knowledge the best solutions for high-rise office space. Later this month, he and ESD colleague Tyler Jensen will present at a CTBUH event.
