ESD’s recent Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago repositioning project is drawing high praise.
Blair Kamin of the Chicago Tribune explained how changes at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago have been well-received. ESD coordinated mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems with the architects to develop the new Marisol restaurant on the ground floor of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. The restaurant is accessible from the street and does not require museum admission.
ESD also helped renovate the ground-floor lobby – where visitors can now watch videos or read books with a coffee or snack — improved the kitchen and added a community engagement and education center on the third floor. During all of the work, which was recently completed, the museum remained open.
