ESD utilizes professional wireless site survey software to create a 3D model of a building based on floor plans, construction materials, and actual dimensions. Once the model is created, the software is used to complete a predictive site survey of the space based on specific wireless access point models and their radio antenna propagation characteristics. Based on the placement of the wireless access points in the model, heat maps are created for RF signal strength, interference, anticipated throughput, and system performance based on anticipated bandwidth usage for applications.
ESD’s team reviews the full design of the wireless network to ensure all technical and functional requirements are being met. Our consultants assist during the implementation of the design by collecting bids from system integrators, and we commission the new system after configuration. Our review includes a walkthrough of the entire space to measure that the actual performance operates at the designed performance.
