High Performance Computing (HPC) continues to rise, and it is inevitable that it will place demands on facilities. For instance, HPC administrators often get tasked at the last minute with planning data center needs.
Mike Thomas will present the tutorial “Data Center Design and Planning for HPC Folks” at SC17 — The International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis — in Denver on Nov. 13. With two co-presenters, he will explain to attendees how to begin the planning process, how to take stock of the current environmental demands and how to develop the data and the insight necessary to define, design and deliver an optimized supercomputing environment.
Thomas has participated in the annual conference since 2006 and has worked with more than 30 HPC clients on data center infrastructure deployment programs.
