There’s been plenty of discussion around three relatively new health and wellness certifications – WELL, Fitwel and RESET. Given that people spend about 90 percent of their time indoors and their lack of health and wellness can account for billions of dollars in productivity losses annually, the discussion is no surprise.
Aliza Skolnik added her insights on these certifications during a webinar for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Speaker Series in Houston this month, hosted by SWE President Carolyn Cooper, who works at ESD. Aliza explained why health and wellness in the built environment is such a pervasive and important topic and cited the leading industry benchmarks and rating system tools, along with reviewing two case studies on WELL and Fitwel spaces.
