Panel Examines Future of Smart Cities

A group of industry experts will be discussing the key components that go into creating a “smart city” at this year’s Chicago Build 2022 Expo.

ESD Practice Leader for Technology Mo Fahim joins the panel for “Building the Smart Cities of Tomorrow” He says the city of the future should include everything from critical infrastructure, energy efficiency, and health to community engagement, public safety, communication technology, and more. Fahim says while there is no single model for a smart city, there are common elements to consider.

Other topics being covered at Chicago Build 2022 will be “Coordinated, Efficient, Accurate and Organised: Optimizing Collaboration Using BIM,” (with ESD Digital Practice Leader Samir Abdelmawla),  “Establishing a Powerful Collaborative Network – Women in Construction” (featuring ESD Workplace Solutions Practice Leader Julie Lardenoit as a panelist), “Maximize Energy Efficiency in Old Buildings” (featuring ESD Technical Authority Suzan Sun-Yuan as a panelist), “Workplaces of the Future,” “Achieving Net Zero: The Power of Effective Collaboration,” and much more.

Registration for a limited number of free tickets to the October 13 and 14 event at Chicago’s McCormick Place is available.
