Total Cost of Ownership now includes Cloud!

Over the last three years ESD Consulting been providing TCO services focused on Build vs. Collocation.  Within each project, ESD Consulting has concentrated in the areas of evaluating collocation space (in conjunction with our real estate advisory partners) and developing a design/construction comparison cost to assist enterprise companies in making decisions whether to collocate or build.

Working closely with our technology group in 2015, our combined resources began to develop tools and skill sets to evaluate cloud offerings.  Within 2016, ESD Consulting will be promoting the evaluation and comparison of subscribing to Cloud Services vs. owning or collocation applications including the cost, risks and migration process.

As this market continuously grows, ESD recognizes that it is perhaps the only firm to combine resources “Consulting, Technology and Engineering” under one roof.  Recently, ESD provided TCO services for a $28B retail company, in which all options in build, colo and cloud were evaluated.

Other clients and focus areas for 2016 include the financial industry and mid-market enterprise companies looking to determine the future of their data center.

Technical Program Management (TPM) Services

Over the years, ESD has always played a role in design BOD, programming, design review and commissioning.

Over Q4 of 2015, ESD Consulting has packaged these services into a single offering entitled Technical Program Management (TPM) services.

Working closely with your real estate advisor or program manager, ESD Consulting compliments technically the BOD, design review, estimating, scheduling and commissioning effort up front.  Several of our real estate advisor partners (C&W, NGKF, CBRE and JLL) offer Program Management Services and often require a more technical twist to complicated projects such as data centers, large roll out programs, and large commercial projects.  ESD Consulting’s TPM services are catered to real estate advisors and large enterprise companies.

Commercial Development Services

The MEP cost of today’s new office development projects typically consist of 50% of the overall construction cost when you integrate the technology component.

ESD has been providing due diligence in the area of for several years.  In 2016, ESD Consulting will expand its development services to include commercial office and M&D.  Specific development services will focus on existing conditions evaluations, program development, estimating, scheduling and technology integration.
