Karnatz to Address the Future of Cities at SMPS Chicago Event

A number of drivers are shaping the planning and design of cities and buildings.

ESD President Kurt Karnatz – an expert on Intelligent Buildings and Smart Cities – will discuss how emerging technologies are altering all aspects of the built environment on the panel “The Future of Cities: Big Data, Intelligent Buildings, and Smart Cities” during a SMPS Chicago event on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. Karnatz will talk about the challenges involved in the development of smart cities and explain the benefits of Intelligent Buildings for owners, operators and occupants, among other topics. He has championed Chicago’s drive to become a smart city.
