The cities of China’s Pearl River Delta — which could grow to 120 million inhabitants by 2050 — demonstrate markedly the impact of urbanization.
For this reason, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) conference entitled “Cities to Megacities: Shaping Dense Vertical Urbanism” will take place in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong from Oct. 16-21. Mehdi Jalayerian — whose papers on supertall buildings have been published by CTBUH — has been invited to speak at this illustrious annual conference.
