ESD has been involved with Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia – designed to be the world’s tallest building – from day one.
ESD Chief of Innovation and Executive Vice President Mehdi Jalayerian will give the keynote address “The World’s Tallest Building: Jeddah Tower” during the BuiltWorlds Cities Conference in Chicago on Thursday, July 19. He will discuss what ESD went through to win the project, the issues involved with making sure ESD’s design process was coordinated with all design elements, the environmental conditions (such as temperature) at the height of the literal skyscraper and the MEP challenges for a building of this size. As a special treat for the Chicago audience, he will compare the project – which started back in 2009 – to the tallest building in the city, Willis Tower.
