Jalayerian Leads Discussion on Maximizing Convention Center Design Options

ESD expert is set to moderate discussion about optimizing event spaces at the upcoming Convention, Sports, & Entertainment Facilities Conference in Tampa, Florida.

ESD Senior Managing Director Mehdi Jalayerian will be overseeing the “Convention Center Design Today and Tomorrow: Flexibility, Adaptability, and Resilience” session on Wednesday, June 15 featuring other industry experts.

Jalayerian is expected to draw on his experience and ESD projects such as the rapid transformation of the McCormick Place convention hall into a 500-bed alternative care hospital facility at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the award-winning design of the Las Vegas Convention Center into a versatile, multi-use facility.

The event is scheduled for June 14 – 15, 2022, and will offer developers, owners, and other industry professionals the tools and best practices necessary to evaluate project delivery needs with an emphasis on design, planning, procurement, financing, construction, and more.

Mehdi Jalayerian regularly shares his extensive industry knowledge about convention and hotel facilities to promote ESD’s mission to improve society through the built environment.
