ESD Trio Address Number of Net Zero Energy Topics

When will net zero energy (NZE) be a code requirement? How do the various NZE certifications differ? Can a large-scale commercial building achieve NZE?

Those are some of the topics three team members from ESD’s Energy+Eco group – Tim Zelazny, Hardik Miyani and Ken Griffin – along with representatives from Cove.tool and Alliance to Save Energy discussed during a sold-out Passive House Alliance Chicago event Aug. 21.

ESD is currently working on a number of NZE projects and has two Certified Passive House Consultants on staff. We are excited about creating NZE buildings that consume as much energy as they renewably produce.
