ESD Experts to Address How to Mitigate Stack Effect

The financial and disruptive risks of stack effect can impact just about any building, but it can truly imperil supertall and megatall towers.

Mehdi Jalayerian and Tyler Jensen will present “Building Science – Methods to Manage and Mitigate Stack Effect in Super & Megatall Towers” at the CCHRB (Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings) monthly meeting on April 13 at Petterino’s Restaurant in Chicago. The duo, who are  experts on the topic, will review parametric simulation of stack-effect conditions for realistic configuration of megatall towers and consider a tower’s response related to geographic design conditions, envelope construction and other factors.
