ESD Senior Project Engineer Ben Olejniczak is joining a panel of peers to discuss the best ways for marketers to reach professionals like himself. (Learn more about Marketing to Engineers.)
The decision to provide structural engineering capabilities is in response to increased demand and to offer greater value and broader solutions to clients.
Already an industry leader helping with the design and implementation of hyperscale data centers (e.g., for a fourth year in a row, ESD was ranked one of the top three data center sector nationwide engineering firms, according to BD+C magazine’s Giants 400 Report), the company is adding to the breadth of its service offerings directly impacting this sector. David Weihing was recently named the new managing director for Structural Engineering and says the new department is a natural point of growth for the company.
Joining Weihing is José Medero who will be serving as the new structural engineering practice leader. Working closely with Weihing, Medero will leverage his 25 years of experience to provide clients with targeted expertise for data center and healthcare facilities as well as many other markets and project types by offering a full complement of structural engineering services.
Medero said “The expansion into structural engineering services opens opportunities for ESD to grow in many aspects of client service and market sectors.” He added “ESD already has a strong reputation in the industry for engineering and technology design in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Bringing structural engineering expertise will offer another level of service and value to existing and future clients.”
ESD Chief Executive Officer Zackery House says the move aligns perfectly with the company’s mission to improve society through the built environment. “Our strategy has always been to be the best—and that means recognizing the need to evolve and expand our expertise and services. Adding a structural engineering practice is a logical next step.”
Continuing to evolve and grow to better meet client needs is part of ESD’s mission to improve society through the built environment. To learn more about the markets served and capabilities offered by ESD, please visit our website.
