Big Changes Boost ESD Technology, Intelligent Building Teams

ESD’s Technology Group and Intelligent Building Practice announced major moves recently.

Chris Scharrer has joined ESD as the Practice Leader of the Technology Group. He is a globally recognized leader in the telecommunications and data/video technologies design and build industries, where he boasts close to 40 years of experience. Chris has led major technology efforts for the U.S. military, higher education, financial, medical, pharmaceutical and several other industries. His experience fits nicely with the current offerings we have along with some potential new offerings that would strengthen our position in the industry.

Two well-known ESD employees now have new roles. To further strengthen the leadership of the Technology Group, Randy Robbie has become Studio Leader. Randy will be the inside point person for operations to achieve the vision provided by Chief of Services Jim Vallort and Chris.

Nick Lawrence has left the Technology Group, but he hasn’t ventured too far away. Nick is now a Vice President in the Intelligent Building Practice led by Kurt Karnatz. Nick joins Dave Clute, Rob Knight and Rick Szcodronski in the growing business. ESD has been an internationally recognized leader in the development of Intelligent Buildings for years, and the new practice helps clients navigate through a maze of Intelligent Building options and solutions.
