Are Your Operational Technologies Safe?

ESD’s cybersecurity practice is growing.

ESD recently launched a cybersecurity practice, supported by a responsive and respected group of building system engineers and technologists, to create a partnership between IT executives, facilities managers and building engineers to raise awareness and develop protocols related to both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity.

What is OT? Building automation, machine learning, robotics, physical security controls and audio visual systems – these, among others, are OT and tools that open cybersecurity risks beyond traditional IT and cloud systems. Many of these OT systems are embedded within office buildings, warehouses, hospitals, data centers, hotels and retail spaces.

ESD is excited to announce Manny Grado has joined our cybersecurity practice in the role of senior cybersecurity engineer. Grado comes to us from Dell Technologies, where he identified, evaluated and recommended highly complex alternative technology solutions for U.S. federal government agencies. He breaks down and communicates to clients how complex multi-faceted solutions will benefit their overall businesses.
