The Thrill of Victory

Austin Bredow, Tyler Jensen, and Saahil Tumber have been named 40 Under 40 Winners by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine, which used words such as “exceptional,” “dedicated” and “driven” to describe all 40 honorees.

Austin leads the high-tech studio for ESD’s Workplace Solutions Practice, which specializes in technically complex projects requiring resilient, flexible infrastructure for clients located throughout the country. He manages a team of engineers focused on designing high-tech office spaces.

As a project manager and senior mechanical engineer in the High Performance Buildings Group, Tyler oversees design process and coordinates with architects, other consultants, and end users as ESD’s main point of contact. As the lead senior mechanical designer on projects, he provides mechanical system design.

As a senior associate in the firm’s MCF practice, Saahil is working as lead mechanical engineer and is responsible for overall design of HVAC systems. His data center experience includes enterprise and co-location projects.

Beyond achievements on the job, leadership skills and other laudatory abilities the trio possess, the magazine also wants to see nominees embrace community service. Our winners excel in that area as well. Austin is involved with outreach programs and volunteering opportunities largely focused on youth in impoverished communities. Tyler is a member of the Illinois chapter of ASHRAE and mentors college students through the ASHRAE Student Design Competition. Saahil was involved with the literacy campaign in India, during which he taught basic literacy skills to underprivileged children, many of them living below the poverty level. All of these good works are great reflections of our company’s commitment to help others, illustrated especially by ESD’s Golfing for Good endeavor.
