Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity

Powerful artificial intelligence (AI) tools can be the source of, or the salvation from, cybercriminals.

In the April issue of Security Management magazine (a publication of ASIS International), Coleman Wolf examines the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). In his article, “Breaking Down the Pros and Cons of AI in Cybersecurity,” Wolf examines how cutting-edge technology is being used both for data security and to assault systems.

Using AI to detect anomalies in user behavior or network traffic patterns can add early warnings of a cyberattack. But the same technology can be used by bad actors to thwart counter-measures. Wolf examines both sides.
