Healthy Buildings: What Will It Take to Transform Work Environments?

Health and safety in workplaces take on special urgency during a global pandemic.

Raj Gupta will be discussing “Healthy Buildings and the Workplace” at an upcoming live program for members of the Chicago Architecture Center’s (CAC) Industry Council on Tuesday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m. CT. The virtual event is also being made available to the general public and will explore the growing use and relevance of the WELL Building Standard – a certification akin to LEED for energy efficiency – in the healthy buildings movement.

Gupta, and other esteemed presenters, will be citing examples of office towers being adapted for safe re-occupancy in the age of COVID-19, such as 150 North Riverside in Chicago and the deployment of an award-winning state-of-the-art indoor air quality program. A lively discussion is expected as panelists examine the competitive advantages for healthy buildings and the challenges and opportunities of implementation.

Registration and other details for the program can be found at the CAC website.
