Jalayerian to Address Mitigating Stack Effect at ASHRAE Conference

Stack effect significantly impacts the performance of HVAC systems and hampers building energy performance, especially in harsh climatic conditions.

Mehdi Jalayerian will discuss how to mitigate and manage the impacts of stack effect during his presentation “Design Basis Variations to Counteract Stack Effect in New Tall Buildings” at the ASHRAE 2020 Winter Conference in Orlando on Sunday, Feb. 2. He will point out how the disruptive risks of stack effect can be alleviated if analyzed holistically and addressed early in the design of tall towers.
