How will the growing wellness-in-the-workplace movement affect the commercial real estate sector?
Aliza Skolnik and Alex Spilger of Cushman and Wakefield addressed the topic in “How Wellness in the Workplace Movement Is Changing the CRE Landscape,” a CoreNet Global’s What’s Next Podcast.
“We’re seeing an integration of health and wellness and technology,” Skolnik said. She noted that one-third of the people in the United States are tracking their own health through Fitbit, apps on their phone or otherwise, and buildings are starting to measure health and wellness metrics more closely as well, such as indoor air quality. Skolnik also touted the benefits of sit-stand desks for improving the health of employees, which are becoming highly popular.
