High-School Students Learn Real-Life Lessons at ESD

Giving back to high-school students is an ESD tradition that dates almost to the start of the company, when the firm began to support Bowen High School’s Industrial Cooperation Education (ICE) Program.

The tradition is alive and well. More than 20 students from Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center, Alcott High School, John Hancock High School, Schurz High School and Jones High School visited ESD Tuesday to learn about different aspects of the engineering world from professionals. They gathered with a number of ESD employees in groups to learn about tools ESD uses, such as Revit, and heard President Kurt Karnatz discuss the company’s values, mission and vision. And they asked plenty of questions.

ESD is always proud to host those who may become future engineers.
