All Systems Go for Chilled-Water Equipment at Wrigley Field

Dedicated as they are to their beloved team, Chicago Cubs fans rarely know what’s going on off the diamond at Wrigley Field. But ESD has contributed plenty of important work to areas virtually unknown in and around the ballpark – including a chilled-water system.

Suzan Sun-Yuan and Cory Abramowicz explained their reasoning of why they incorporated an air-side economizer, a water-side economizer and modified chiller efficiencies by the historic park in a recent issue of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine. They discussed how building condition, occupancy type and other factors led to their decisions.
