Rarely is hockey played without skates, on chairs and in Chicago Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom. But the 11th annual Aeron Hockey tournament is no ordinary outing.
ESD’s Workplace Solutions group gathered Thursday, February 23 to battle other company teams in the interiors industry including design, real estate and construction. The event — where players rolled about on Herman Miller Aeron chairs and knocked foam pucks about — raised money for Special Olympics Illinois.
In fact, ESD won the Big Assist trophy for raising the most money among all of the companies there. It’s another example of ESD giving back.
