The Al Hilal Bank Office Tower — for which ESD provided all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, security, audio visual and structured cabling engineering design services — received the Distinguished Building Award Citation of Merit from AIA Chicago recently.
Located on Al Maryah Island in the northwestern region of Abu Dhabi, the 24-story Al Hilal Bank Office Tower — spreading across more than 1 million square feet and completed in 2014 — was designed by architecture firm Goettsch Partners. Said one juror about the design, "The building is well-detailed. The architects showed subtle restraint." ESD has collaborated with Goettsch Partners on many projects.
