Zelazny, Davidson Highlight LEED Success Story at Daley Center
The Richard J. Daley Center is the first government-owned building in Chicago to use LEED v4.1 – released this past March – for recertification. Thanks to this new path, the building is now certified LEED EB:O+M Gold, up from Silver in 2012.
Tim Zelazny and Samantha Davidson explain the value this new LEED path brings in their piece “LEED Case Study: Moving Up to LEED Gold” in Facility Executive magazine. They point out by submitting annual performance data in energy, water, waste, and indoor air quality, the Daley Center increased its LEED rating simply by taking advantage of its already high-performing building.
