ESD Helps Bring Dining, Retail Options to Willis Tower

ESD is helping Willis Tower, once a fortress-like structure, turn the page by supporting the development of Catalog.

Recently, EQ Office – the U.S. office portfolio company wholly owned by Blackstone’s real estate funds – unveiled plans for Catalog, a five-story dining, retail and immersive-entertainment experience, located at the base of Willis Tower. The name is a historical nod to the Sears Roebuck Company, who developed and opened Willis Tower in 1973.

ESD is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, structured-cabling systems, audio-visual, wireless design, energy modeling, building analytics and leasing services for Catalog, which is part of the Willis Tower podium project ESD is working on.

ESD moved its global headquarters into Willis Tower in April 2018. Gensler designed the project.
