Zelazny Shares Insights on Improving Indoor Environments

Since we spend so much time indoors – 90 percent by most measures – making the space as healthy as possible is of optimal importance.

Tim Zelazny explained that adopting strategies to enhanced your indoor environment is within everyone’s reach in “Tracking the Value of a Healthy Indoor Environment” for Northern Illinois Real Estate magazine. Zelazny, an expert in energy and sustainability consulting for new and existing buildings, pointed to research showing that businesses who are concerned with occupant health enjoy lower absenteeism and higher productivity, among other benefits.

This article is a follow-up to two panels he served on with the BOMA/Chicago Energy & Sustainability Committee on Aug. 15, where Zelazny prioritized indoor environment strategies from Harvard’s 9 Foundations of A Healthy Building, WELL and Fitwel.
