ESD Considers the Next 50 Years

Buoyed by a successful past and present, ESD must look to the future as it celebrates 50 years in business.

Chief of Engineering Nathan Snydacker, who started with the firm in 1999, is excited about what’s ahead.

“I’ve seen a lot of changes throughout the years, but I know we’re poised to be successful. I’m excited about our geographic growth. The type of clients we’re pairing up with are loyal. That gives me hope for the future.”

Chief of Services Jim Vallort talked about the keys to continued success.

“Teamwork, innovation and collaboration are crucial,” he said. “Continuing to build that culture will give ESD another great 50 years.”

Zac House, the company’s chief executive officer, sees big opportunities for ESD in an age of rapid technological changes.

“We’re really in a disruptive period in the built environment. We hear a lot about Intelligent Buildings, which we’re already engaged in, and about Artificial Intelligence, which could come into play in the future of ESD. So I think there’s a lot of things we have the opportunity to embrace which can lead the company forward.”
