In an article published in Crain’s Chicago Business, Chicago boasts the highest number of certified LEED or Energy Star office buildings among the top 30 real estate markets in the United States. With two-thirds of its office buildings certified LEED or Energy Star, Chicago knocked San Francisco out of the top spot. That West Coast city is said to be green with envy.
