Marketing Graphic Designer-Chicago

Position Summary

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Chicago team. The ideal candidate will use his or her visual communications and graphic design skills to produce print, electronic and digital media to represent what ESD does best – develop solutions that impact people’s health, comfort, productivity, safety and ability to connect to the world.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Apply graphic design and video production/editing skills to create content for presentations, print, video, website, social media and marketing campaigns
  • Promote consistent messaging firm-wide by upholding ESD’s corporate brand identity and templates for written, graphic/visual and verbal communications
  • Work across functions and departments to produce and maximize content created for multimedia projects, proposals and presentations
  • Manage and negotiate contracts for printing, promotional items, business cards, stationery and related expenses
  • Maintain usage rights and inventory of visual assets bought and used in publications, campaigns and advertising
  • Update team resumes, project descriptions, brochures and case studies

Qualifications / Skill-sets

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
  • Able to provide work samples to display ability to use the above mentioned formats
  • Able to serve as a story teller with solid grammar, spelling and punctuation
    Able to maintain knowledge and understand:
  • Internal administrative, systems and filing procedures
  • Processes to assess and fulfill customer needs, satisfaction and quality control
  • Techniques and methods to produce media, communications, and alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media
  • HTML and electronic media programming
  • Use of graphics and design to create interest and persuasive messaging
  • Professional, honest, reliable, punctual and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Possesses a positive, adaptable, cooperative attitude and ability to work well with others
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities and contribute resources for lengthy projects
  • Willing to take on tasks and challenges beyond stated responsibilities

Education / Certification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art or Communications (preferred)
  • Three years of experience in graphic design (preferred)
